Objectives
Explore
the latest treatment guidelines for Lupus nephritis, IgA nephropathy, ANCA
vasculitis, and monoclonal gammopathy. They will understand the importance of
individualized treatment plans based on disease severity, patient
characteristics, and comorbidities.
Target
therapies, including complement inhibitors, B cell targeted therapies,
endothelin-angiotensin system modulators, and plasma cell therapies, are
promising treatment options for glomerular diseases. Learners will understand
these therapies' mechanisms of action, indications, and potential side effects.
Discuss
insights into the role of SGLT2 inhibitors in managing diabetic nephropathy.
The course will cover the mechanisms through which these drugs improve renal
outcomes in diabetic patients and explore the evidence supporting their use in
reducing proteinuria and preserving renal function.
Identify
potential treatment-related adverse events associated with the targeted
therapies discussed in the course. They will learn to monitor patients for
these adverse events and develop strategies to manage them effectively while
ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Discuss
case studies and real-world scenarios to illustrate the application of targeted
therapies in managing glomerular diseases. Learners will be encouraged to
engage in interactive discussions to analyze and develop appropriate treatment
plans based on each case.
