Dr. D'Agati received her undergraduate degree from Yale College, her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine, and residency training in anatomic pathology at Columbia University. After completing a National Kidney Foundation research fellowship under Dr. Conrad Pirani at Columbia University, she became Director of the Renal Pathology Division in 1983, rising to Professor of Pathology in 1993. The Division is currently staffed by 7 full-time renal pathologists and receives approximately 6000 kidney biopsies per year.
