Program Overview VIRTUAL PROGRAM Columbia University Irving Medical Center invites you to join
the leading educators from Columbia University, addressing an overview of high yield
challenging scenarios in the management of IgA Nephropathy. The half-day course is designed to enhance the knowledge of
healthcare professionals on the IgAN updates including pathogenesis (with
particular emphasis on the Gut-Renal axis), genetics, pathology and
non-immunosuppresive andimmunosuppressive
strategies. Through a combination of lectures and case-based presentations,
this course will deliver up-to-date and cutting-edge information that can be
directly integrated into clinical practice.
Learning Objectives 1.Understand the pathophysiology of IgA nephropathy, including the role of IgA immune complexes in kidney inflammation and damage. 2.Describe the clinical presentation and diagnostic criteria for IgA nephropathy, including using kidney biopsy to confirm the diagnosis. 3. Explain the management of IgAN standard and novel targeted therapies. 4. Discuss the long-term outcomes of IgA nephropathy, such as the risk of progressive kidney disease and end-stage renal failure using risk calculators. 5.Target the role of B-Cell therapies. 6.Analyze the impact of personalized medicine approaches, such as biomarkers and genetic factors, on diagnosing and managing IgA nephropathy.
