Updates on recent advances and optimal management of kidney transplantation in a one-day course.

Learning Objectives

  • Understanding effective and emerging treatments for BK viremia, exploring the use of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP1 receptor agonist in kidney and pancreas transplants.
  • Identify clinical tolerance and immunosuppressive strategies for chronic rejection.
  • Explore elderly kidney transplant recipients, evaluate value and quality metrics, and implement shared decision-making practices.
  • Discuss advancements in multi-organ transplants, surgical techniques, and post-operative care.
  • Explore less toxic options in managing CMV reactivation.
  • Target treatment and prevention of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder.

ABTC Credit Designation Statement
Category 1 Continuing Education Points for Transplant Coordinators (CEPTCs) have been applied for through the American Board for Transplant Certification (ABTC). You must request your certificate within 45 days of the activity to meet the deadline for submission to ABTC. Credits are generally reported during the first week of each month for those who claimed during the month prior.

Physician Assistants
The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsare acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification for PAs.
